This was our first time not camping whilst in Coral Bay. The location is beautiful and the food and drinks were great. However, rooms were quite outdated. Bed & linen were extremely uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow provided. We paid significantly more than when we camp however would have been more comfortable in our own set up. We cannot fault the staff, they were absolutely lovely.

$360 for a night to stay in a room which the floors were Dirty, the fridge is rusted out and the sliding doors to enter the rooms were Completely rusted out.Not recommendedBar was good. Restaurant was staffed by people who were far too entitled to actually provide any level of customer service.Location is A+Views are A+Value for money F-Same location free from the caravan park or car parkViews available everywhere in coral bayAccess bar without being a guest

At $319.00 per night I was highly dissapointed, our booking date was 14 Feb (Hight of summer and off peak time) on arrival the driveway was dirt and very rough, our car which is quite low (in fairness) scraped the front bumper a few times. There were no parking spaces marked, just an area along the length of the units. So if your one of the later arrivals, it can be hard if not impossible to park within a comfortable distance from the room.Upon entering the roon, it was old and worn. there was an electric stove hob that was corroded away on the elements. I was the first to shower, and it had long black hairs on the base, I have cropped grey hair. we went to the bar and restaurant and the meals were quite good. returning to retire at about 9pm, we noticed the AC in the bedroom had turned off, we turned it on again and sat on the verandah for a beer and let the room cool. in short, the AC would not run longer than about 10 minutes. By about 2.30 am, we moved ourselves to the main room where we could cool and sleep. We were relocated to another room that was far newer than our previous room, but a far cry from a $300+ dollar room. The outdoor common areas were constructed mainly of pine coppers logs and very sad looking indeed. Smokers (which I am not) had 1 common area in the centre of the grounds, which was the only smoking area on site that I could see. This is a stay I would not like to endure again, and do not recommend.

This accommodation is in a fabulous location but delivers an ok experience. Nothing much to complain about nor much to rave about. The food is average with a poor breakfast choice and the room walls are paper thin. Some staff are great and some not so. Staffing in this location will always be a challenge. The location right on the beach, literally a hundred metre stroll!

We have stayed 2 nights in RAC.The resort itself is simple and a bit different then others, with a weird set up I have never seen it before. The reception is at the back. So big area but has been design in unusual way. The swimming pool in the middle, grass area huge and people are putting chars to enjoy the view. Nothing fancy, in need of renovating, starting from dirt driveway to the parking. Our room on the ground was very simple and dark. It eas cleaned prop.Old fashion, with chipped tiles, pealing paint on the bathroom doors, molded bathroom in desperate need of update.Bathroom had a bad odor.Regardless,  all staff has been really friendly and welcoming. Loved the bar and restaurant. Position is excellent but nearly everything is in need of the renovation as I already said. We didn't use the pool as we have on snorkling and diving tour all day.

We stayed here for two nights in May.Pros:Location was fantastic with the beach and snorkel hire right on your doorstepStaff are very friendly and helpfulGood WiFiGreat showerComfortable bed and linenCons:Rooms definitely need some TLC - stained and damaged floors with the hob top barely being safe to useLots of cockroaches in the bathroomWalls are very thin - we were kept awake on the first night by snoring one side and a loud TV the otherOverall:Unfortunately at the current price of $330 per night, the quality of the room is just unacceptable. If the price was lower, the review would certainly be better. If the owners invested in fully redecorating the hotel, it would certainly be worth the money you pay. Unfortunately, however, choices are limited here and this place probably represents the best of a bad bunch.

Lack of bathrooms and sites quite small with narrow roads, make sure they book you a big site if you have a large van, otherwise yiu will be in the overflow. It is not great.

Great setting, and it's a beautiful location.Shades food can be a little hit and miss. The accommodation can get a little noisy at times with all the kids. They have a live band playing sometimes, which also adds to the noise factor.
